STRAY HEARTS ANGELS

Do you want to help Stray Hearts in perpetuity?

Please consider becoming a STRAY HEARTS ANGEL, a member of our valued planned giving society.

Our STRAY HEARTS ANGELS let us know they plan on creating a LASTING LEGACY by leaving an estate gift to help Stray Hearts after they’re gone.

And as a STRAY HEARTS ANGEL, we can help provide you with additional information and guidance on implementing a planned gift to STRAY HEARTS.

How exactly does my planned gift help Stray Hearts?

A planned gift can be designated directly to our unrestricted endowment, where it will be used only at the discretion of Stray Heart’s Financial Advisory Committee for long-term general operating or unforeseen needs.

Alternately, you can designate your planned gift be used solely for a specific Stray Hearts program, such as our Adoption program, our Foster program, or Stray Heart’s community Food Bank.

It’s YOUR money ~ you tell US exactly where YOU want it used after you’re gone.

OK, but what kind(s) of planned gifts could I leave Stray Hearts?

A Bequest: A gift made as part of a will or trust.

Retirement Accounts: A retirement plan can be a tax-efficient and simple way of including STRAY HEARTS in your estate planning.

You may also want to consider making a gift to STRAY HEARTS with a "qualified charitable distribution" or "IRA charitable rollover" from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA), and take advantage of tax savings.

Distributions and rollovers are great for charitably-minded people with large qualified retirement plans and/or IRAs.

Other Planned Giving Methods:
There are a number of other ways estates can be gifted to STRAY HEARTS through things like Charitable Lead Trusts, Charitable Remainder Trusts, Donor-Advised Funds and/or Life Insurance.

If you want to know more, STRAY HEARTS has resources for additional information from financial advisors on these ways to donate.
